Cambodian PM to attend APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Meeting

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen will attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in the central city of Da Nang on November 10 at the invitation of Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang.

According to a statement released by Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on November 8, PM Hun Sen will be accompanied by Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Hang Chun Naron and other members of the government.

Cambodia, not a member of APEC, has supported the initiative to create a platform for dialogue between ASEAN and APEC leaders.

The Cambodian PM is scheduled to meet Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang and attend a breakfast feast hosted by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

He will then travel to Manila, the Philippines, to attend the ASEAN Summit on November 12-14
