He made the call during a reception in Ha Noi on August 30 for Governor of Utah state Gary Herbert, who is on a Vietnam visit from August 29 to September 3.

The host said the Vietnamese government is determined to carry out comprehensive and synchronous reform, with a focus on rapid and sustainable economic development; building a constructive, transparent and action-oriented cabinet; and ensuring interests of investors by acquiring their feedback and soon clearing their obstacles.
Mr. Herbert, for his part, affirmed that Utah will further push forward the friendship and effective and practical cooperation with Vietnam, contributing to the bilateral ties.
On the occasion, the US delegation met Secretary of the Ha Noi Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai, Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong, leaders of the ministries of industry and trade, science and technology, and businesses from the two cities.
