In the framework of the meeting with Korean Foreign Minister, Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh praised and appreciated the agreements reached at the meetings between North Korea and South Korea as well as between the North Korea and the US so far, affirming that Vietnam is willing to coordinate and promote its role in facilitating dialogue, cooperation and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula in order to contribute to ensuring peace, stability and prosperity in the region.

Later, Deputy PM, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and his Indonesian counterpart Marsudi jointly affirmed that they will continue to cooperate closely in regional and international forums, strengthen the unity of ASEAN, maintain the central role of ASEAN as well as its common voice in regional issues, including the South China Sea issue, coordinate to promote ASEAN and China to soon develop the Code of Conduct in the East Sea effectively and practically. Foreign Minister Marsudi thanked Vietnam’s support of Indonesia’s candidacy for non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in the 2019-2020 term, while reaffired her country’s support of Vietnam's candidacy for non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in the 2020-2021 term.

At the same day, in the meeting with Malaysian Foreign Minister, Deputy PM, Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh expressed his wish to further strengthen the coordination between the two Ministries, especially during the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Malaysia. To further promote the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh suggested Malaysia to create favorable conditions for Vietnam's export commodities such as rice, agricultural products, boost oil and gas cooperation and further receive more Vietnamese workers.

Both Vietnamese and Lao Foreign Ministers highly appreciated the closer cooperation between the two Ministries, at the same time agreed to coordinate for the preparation and implementation of the regular Foreign Minister-level and Deputy Foreign Minister-level meetings in the coming time; strengthen information sharing, close coordination at regional and international forums as well as sub regional mechanisms; together with other members deepen the ASEAN Community's cooperation, connectivity process, unity, central role and common voice in strategic issues of the region, including the East Sea.
