Fashionology Festival to showcase latest designs

Visitors to the Fashionology Festival 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City from October 20-22 will have a chance to view more than 1,400 of the latest creations by 153 designers in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

The information was announced at a press conference hosted by the municipal Department of Tourism and Golden Communication Group (GCG) on October 10.

Speaking at the event, GCG General Director Nguyen Minh Huong said more than 250 Vietnamese and foreign models will strut their stuff down Nguyen Hue walking street, adding that fashion collections will explore different themes of “Ban sac Vien Dong” (Far Eastern Identity), “Lan song moi” (New Wave) and “Ngoi sao tuong lai” (Future Star) each day.

Visitors can also experience fashion using 5D mapping, a magic mirror and virtual technologies.

Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Bui Ta Hoang Vu said the festival is the first of its kind to be held in the city.

According to the organising board, the event is expected to welcome about 100,000 visitors.
