At the meeting, Ambassador Tran Quoc Thuy expressed his warmest gratitude to Minister Nasser Bourita for warmly welcoming the Vietnamese delegations led by National Assembly Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien during his visit to Morocco in early July.
At the same time, the Ambassador discussed with Mr. Nasser Bourita about prominent events between the two nations, which are expected to take place in 2017-2018, including exchanges of high-level visits, political consultations…

For his part, the Minister affirmed that there are numerous similarities between Vietnam and Morocco; therefore, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation. Besides, Mr. Nasser Bourita also highly appreciated Vietnam’s role in ASEAN in Morocco.
In addition, Minister Nasser Bourita also expressed his great gratitude to the Vietnamese Government for granting scholarships to Moroccan students to study in Vietnam and hoped that students exchanges programs between the two nations will continue to develop. Mr. Nasser Bourita also vowed to make every efforts to maintain exchanges of high-ranking visits between Vietnam and Morocco.
On this occasion, Ambassador Tran Quoc Thuy requested the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to continue to support the Embassy of Vietnam in Morocco, serving as a bridge with the Moroccan authorities in order to promote and develop trade between the two countries, because the current trade turn-over is nothing compare to the long bilateral relation between Vietnam and Morocco.
Ambassador Tran Quoc Thuy also conveyed wishes of Vietnamese leaders to the King, the Government and the people of Morocco on the occasion of marking the 18th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s ascension.
The Ambassador also thanks the Moroccan Government for creating favorable conditions for overseas Vietnamese citizens and students to live, do business and study in the beautiful and peaceful Morocco.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides pledged to make continuous attempts to further develop the good relations between the two countries.
