A kaleidoscopic patchwork of Vietnam’s natural heritage will be introduced at the “Impressions of Vietnamese Natural Heritage Sites” exhibition which features bio-diversity, typical cultures and local livelihoods in tandem with the environment.
The exhibition also honours the traditional values of ethnic minority groups in localities along the Cau river, including Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh and Hai Duong.
Additionally, 100 photos from the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2017 will be exhibited. They were selected from 2,479 entries submitted by 66 photographers nationwide, capturing nature, life, and tangible and intangible cultural heritages.
A local exhibition zone at the event introduces values of natural heritage sites, especially those recognised by UNESCO as world natural heritages like Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh province), Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binh province), Trang An Landscape Complex (Ninh Binh province), Cat Ba Biosphere Reserve (Hai Phong city) and Cat Tien Biosphere Reserve (Dong Nai province).
The move also helps popularise local tourism.
Other activities held in the framework of the week are “Children with Natural Heritage” painting festival and the “Youth with Natural Heritage” contest.
