Legislature to cast confidence votes on senior leaders in 2018
The National Assembly will cast confidence votes on top officials who hold positions elected or approved by the Legislature in 2018, according to its latest resolution.

This kind of event was first conducted by the National Assembly in form of a ballot in November 2013 with three degrees of confidence, namely high, medium and low.
Before the votes, these officials have to submit reports on their work performance, including law obedience, ethics and lifestyle, to the National Assembly deputies for consideration.
According to regulations, those who are given “low confidence” by more than half of the total number of deputies “can apply for a resignation”.
Next year, the Legislature will also carry out supreme supervision on management and use of State capital and assets at state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and equitization of SOEs in the period 2011-2016, the resolution says.
