Mr.  Nay Pena praised the great and comprehensive contributions which Vietnamese people have attained in national renovation, building, and protection. The guest leader also expressed his pleasure at the practical and effective developments in all areas and treasured Vietnam’s effective support for Cambodia in national liberation, helping Cambodian people escape from the Pol Pot genocidal regime, as well as the during the cause of national reconciliation, construction and defense.

Mr. Nay Pena briefed the host leader about Cambodia’s recent situations, and the outcomes of his talks with the Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC)’s Inspection Commission. The guest leader affirmed that Cambodia would work with Vietnam to preserve and nurture the traditional and comprehensive ties between the two countries to bring it to a new height.

Party General Secretary Trong said Nay Pena’s visit to Vietnam is of significance as it takes place in the context that the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic ties. 

He expressed his pleasure at the enhanced relations between the two Parties and nations across fields, significantly contributing to political stability, and socio-economic development in each country. 

The Party chief also hailed the outcomes of the talks between the two Party Inspection Commissions, General Secretary Trong suggested them strengthen the sharing of information and experience in the inspection and supervision work. 

Earlier, Nay Pena held talks with Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member and head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC)’s Inspection Commission.

The two sides briefed each other on the situation of their respective Parties and countries, and discussed orientations for cooperation between the two commissions. 

During their stay in Vietnam, the Cambodian delegation had a working session on inspection and supervision work with the Ha Noi Party’s Committee and its inspection commission, and visited several economic facilities in the  northern province of Bac Ninh.
