Party leader thanks Indonesian President
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has sent a thank-you message to Indonesian President Joko Widodo after leaving Jakarta, wrapping up an official visit to the country from August 22 to 24.

In the message, the Party leader of Vietnam expressed his sincere thanks to President Widodo and other leaders and people of Indonesia who warmly welcomed the Vietnamese delegation, which, he said, illustrated the two countries’ friendship.

He noted his strong belief in a bright future of the bilateral friendship and cooperation, as well as in a united and strong ASEAN.
“I believe that the good outcomes of the visit will make an important contribution to deepening the strategic partnership, enhancing political trust, reinforcing the friendship, promoting substantive cooperation and creating new development in the two countries’ relations, for the two nations’ common prosperity, the two peoples’ happiness, and peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world”, he stressed.
The General Secretary wished Indonesia, under the leadership of the President and Government of Indonesia, will continue to grow strongly and comprehensively and play an increasing role in the region and the world.
“I wish the friendship and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Indonesia will continually develop in a sound manner”, he wrote.
