According to the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, the visits will be made at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron and First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba’s Central Committee and President of the Councils of State and Ministers Raul Castro Ruz, respectively.

Vietnam and France spare no efforts to enhance ties since the establishment of diplomatic relations in April 1973. More importantly, diplomatic relations have been tightened at both central and local government levels. France has been one of Vietnam’s most important partners in the international arena. The partnership has resulted in a number of projects with promising results in the fields of urban management, environment, health and education.
Meanwhile, Vietnam and Cuba set up diplomatic relations on December 2, 1960, ushering in a new chapter in their friendship. Bilateral cooperation has been expanded in numerous fields such as agriculture, industry, construction, trade, investment, culture, education, science and technology.
