The opening of the exhibition on June 20 was attended by Vietnamese and Russian diplomats and students as well as Russian veterans who fought on Vietnam’s side in the past war.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Valery Nikiforov, Director of the Russian Association “Photo Centre” – the event’s organizer, said the exhibition will enable the local audience to get insights into the political and economic development of Vietnam in the past few years and its beauty in nature, culture and people.
Assistant to Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Sanh Chau, who is also Special Envoy of the Prime Minister on issues of UNESCO, expressed thanks to the exhibition’s organizer, noting that the photos here reflect the depth and history of the Vietnam-Russia long-standing relations and the friendship between their people.
The photos depict Vietnam’s path to global integration and the historical milestones of the Vietnam-Russia relations, for example, when the two countries signed a joint declaration on the strategic partnership in 2010 and on the comprehensive strategic partnership in 2012.
They also introduce to visitors Vietnam’s economic potentials and beauty of people and landscapes.
The event will run through July 2.
