PM Phuc affirmed that the Vietnamese Government attaches extreme importance to cementing and deepening local cooperation between Vietnam and Japan, including Ibaraki Prefecture, regarding this as an important factor for promoting the bilateral friendship and cooperation.

He was delighted to witness the unceasingly developments in cooperation between Vietnamese localities and Ibaraki Prefecture in various aspects, especially agriculture and processing industry and thanked the effective support of the Government, local administration, and people of Ibaraki for the country and people of Viet Nam.
The PM suggested the Japanese Prefecture encourage local enterprises to boost their presence in Viet Nam; share experience, transfer technologies in high-tech farming; recruit more Vietnamese labourers and train manpower; and shake hands with Vietnamese localities to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Ibaraki Prefecture’s Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in 2018.
Mr. Masaru Hashimoto took the occasion to brief the guest leader about the strength of Ibaraki in education and high-tech farming and expressed aspiration to cooperate with Vietnamese localities and receive more high-quality Vietnamese workers.
The same day, the Vietnamese Government chief also hosted receptions for Mr. Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi, a member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Committee on Security and Mr. Tadashi Maeda, the CEO of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).
