Minister Lilay Lakhamfong congratulated Vietnam on its important achievements in recent times, and expressed his delight at the sound development of the Laos-Vietnam special solidarity which has brought about practical benefits for both peoples.

Informing the host of Laos’ recent situation, especially in national security work, and the outcomes of the talks between the two public security ministries, he affirmed that the Lao ministry will coordinate closely with the Vietnamese side to effectively carry out the signed cooperation agreements.
Hailing the significance of the visit by the Lao newly-accredited Minister of Public Security, the Vietnamese Party and State leader affirmed that the Lao ministry has contributed to the development of the Vietnam-Laos special relations.
Speaking of the outcomes of the talks, as well as the results of cooperation between the two ministries, he stressed that their relationship deserves to be a pillar in the two countries’ ties.
He asked both sides to maintain close coordination in protecting national security and maintaining social safety and order; step up information exchanges; and support each other at regional and international forums on crime prevention and control, especially in cross-border crimes.
