The upgraded monument was inaugurated on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and Vietnam’s 70th War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nhem Valy, Secretary of State at the Cambodia Ministry of Cults and Religion and Acting Secretary General of the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodian Motherland, emphasised that the Cambodian people always bear in mind the support from the Vietnamese people to help their country escape from the Khmer Rouge genocidal regime.
