Myanmar State Counsellor begins official visit to Vietnam |
The program will be held for four days, from May 7-10, at Myanmar Plaza, Yangon, Myanmar.
"Vietnam Days in Myanmar" is among the activities to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Myanmar (May 28th 1975 - May 28th 2018) and to implement the spirit of the Vietnam - Myanmar Joint Statement on the occasion of the official visit by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to Vietnam on April 2018.

Attending the program, on the Myanmar side, there will be Union Minister of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism of Myanmar, Myanmar Tourism Association, representatives of trade villages and tourism companies. On the Vietnam side, there will be the participants of the Vietnam-Myanmar Friendship Association, the Vietnam Handicraft Villages and the tourism companies from Ha Noi, Hue, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria Vung Tau; as well as representatives of Vietnamese businesses and communities living and studying in Myanmar.
"Vietnam Day in Myanmar" will be launched on May 7. There will be an unique cultural performance combining modern and traditional items, attended by more than 30 professional artists from Vietnam, especially the performances of solo flute, Xẩm singing, Quan họ singing, Ca Trù singing and traditional dances.
In addition, to be included in the Opening Ceremony will be a Ao Dai (Vietnamese women’s national costume) Fashion Show, with the participation of Mrs. Vuong Loan, the Third Runner-up of the Mrs. World Noble Queen International 2017 held in Myanmar, and the models representing the Vietnamese community in Myanmar.
After the opening ceremony, there will be a workshop of Business Matching on Tourism and Handicrafts to connect businesses operating in the field of tourism and handicrafts of the two countries.
In addition, the Photo Exhibition titled "Exploring Vietnam" with the support of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam will be held to introduce an image of Vietnam’s charming and beauty to the Myanmar people.
Attendants will also be able to know more about Vietnam’s fine arts and handicrafts products, to taste local specialties of Vietnam and Myanmar as well as to have chance to get presents from companies attending the Program.
