Vietnam Expo 2017 to be held in Myanmar from 14-17 December

To introduce the exhibition at the press conference held in Yangon on 5 December, Commercial Counselor Vo Thi Ngoc Diep said that, Vietnam Expo in Myanmar is the biggest annual trade show of Vietnam in Myanmar.

Under the theme of “Vietnam – Made with Pride”, Vietnam Expo 2017 will attract more than 60 leading Vietnamese manufacturers and traders, who are committed to offering the Myanmar market with high quality products at the best price.

Unlike previous exhibitions, this year, the products displayed at more than 110 booths in the Vietnam Expo 2017 will mainly focus on 5 main categories including food & beverages (fruit juices, health drink, tea, milk, confectionaries…), consumer products (blanket, mattress, footwear, fashion, kitchenware, houseware…), construction materials and equipment & machineries (paint, wire & cables, conduits, lightings, batteries, switches and socket fitting, automat, pipes…), and pharmaceuticals & cosmetics (drugs, perfumes…).

According to U Myo Thant, Secretary General of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), the Exhibition will not be only a chance for Vietnam busineses to showcase its best on offer, but also a great platform for Myanmar business community to get connected with a trusted source of supply, for both trade and investment purposes.

Held for the first time in 2009 and since then becoming an annual event, Vietnam Expo in Myanmar has significantly contributed to promoting economic cooperation between the two countries and has also been a vivid manifestation of the comprehensive cooperative partnership between Vietnam and Myanmar.
