The organising board coordinate with the Embassy of Vietnam in Laos, the Vietnamese Trade Offices in Laos and Thailand, the Department of Asia-Africa Market under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Udon Thani Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, the Association of Thailand-Vietnam Businesses, the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Thailand’s northeastern provinces to study market in Thailand’s northeastern Udon Thani and Laos’ northern Luang Prabang.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the fair on June 30, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Don, Defence Deputy Minister, said this is the fourth time the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence and Ministry of Industry and Trade have coordinated with the Lao counterparts to host the event.
He described the fair as an important political, economic and social event to promote friendship and collaboration between the two peoples.
It also creates a good chance for businesses and particularly military-run firms to seek partners and expand relations in Laos and other members from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), he added.
