Vietnam, RoK to hold seminar on sustainable textile industry

Park Jun Ho, senior researcher, former Director of KITECH Vietnam Office said that the seminar seeks to improve businesses’ capacity, meeting the requirement of the digital era and industrial revolution 4.0.

Six leading experts on textile and smart manufacturing of the Republic of Korea (RoK) will deliver lectures at the seminar. Some models, 3D machines and textile products from several businesses will be introduced.
Smart manufacturing solutions in textile industry are expected to benefit textile businesses in productivity, cost reduction, efficient human resources management and working climate improvement.
The seminar, to be held annually by VITAS and KITECH, is a part of the bilateral cooperation between the governments of Vietnam and RoK, which was approved in the memorandum of understanding signed in Seoul, the RoK in December 2016.
KITECH is the sole research and development (R&D) institute of the RoK Government in textile industry. It currently has representative offices in the US, China, Indonesia and Vietnam.
