Cultural cooperation has been key in Vietnam-Japan relations. According to head of the liaison committee of the Vietnamese Association in Ibaraki Cao Sy Luan, from the first year of joining the festival in 2017, the association received helpful support from the organisation board.
He said that this year, the Vietnamese booth attracted many visitors.
The festival had more than 200 booths showing traditional foods and folk games of Japan as well as culture of various countries such as China, the US, France, India and the Philippines.
Currently, 230,000 Vietnamese people are living and working in Japan, while 16,000 Japanese are living in Vietnam. Japan is the third largest source of tourists to Vietnam.
