Vietnam’s traditional culture reproduced at Co Loa relic site

The traditional cultural space of Vietnamese people is being vividly recreated and showcased at the Co Loa national special relic site in Dong Anh district, Hanoi from February 1-21.

Covering more than 2,000 square metres, the exhibition area features three wooden houses and six thatched cottages that were designed in keeping with traditional styles, as well as over 20 pavilions featuring the typical products of Dong Anh district in particular and the Red River Delta area in general.

Visitors to the event will have a chance to learn more about traditional customs and community cultural activities as well as enjoy the beauty of the landscapes and the flavours of traditional dishes from the northern region.

A wide variety of cultural and art activities will also be held during the event, including a bonsai festival, an exhibition of handicrafts, performances of traditional music, folk games, and shows of water puppetry.

In recent times, the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre, in collaboration with Dong Anh district, have organised numerous activities to attract visitors to the Co Loa relic site.
