VN ready to share development experience with DPRK

Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh affirmed Viet Nam stands ready to share its socio-economic development experience with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) during his talks with DPRK FM Ri Yong Ho in Ha Noi on Friday.

In a friendly, sincere and frank atmosphere, the two sides briefed each other about recent developments in respective countries, exchanging ways to further beef up the bilateral relations and discussing regional and international issues of common concern.

Viet Nam attaches importance to the traditional ties with the DPRK, asserted Deputy PM, FM Minh, adding that both sides could accelerate exchanges and cooperation in the fields for mutual benefits in accordance with international law and responsibilities and in favor of peace and development in the region.

Deputy PM, FM Minh welcomed recent positive developments on the Korean peninsula, emphasizing Viet Nam’s consistent position of supporting peace, stability and cooperation on the peninsula.

He expects the relevant parties to foster dialogues to achieve real progresses in addressing denuclearization on the Korean peninsula, saying Viet Nam is ready to make practical contributions to the dialogue process between the DPRK and the relevant sides.

Meanwhile, FM Ri Yong Ho, who is on a four-day official visit to Viet Nam, expressed his pleasure to visit Viet Nam and directly witness the Southeast Asian country’s achievements in national development and international integration cause.

He affirmed the DPRK treasures and expects to further consolidate the friendly and traditional ties with Viet Nam.

Both sides agreed to continue close coordination at regional and international forums like the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement and the ASEAN Regional Forum among others.

The two countries also vowed to strengthen exchanges on the issues of shared concern such as peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.
