Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Dinh Quy made the above statement in an interview right after Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc concluded his tour to Cambodia.

The Government chief also assured his resolve to build a constructive Government, improve business environment, encourage startup spirit and innovation, restructure the economy and transform growth model, Mr. Quy added.
The Prime Minister had a series of meetings and contacts with leaders of top businesses in the region and the world on the sidelines of the forum to update them on Vietnam’s potentials and business environment. He also took the occasion to invite global business giants to join various activities held within the APEC Vietnam 2017.
Mr. Quy also said the Vietnam’s participation in the WEF on ASEAN 2017 demonstrated the fact that the country is always an proactive, active and responsible member of the ASEAN Community. The WEF on ASEAN 2017 also helped Vietnam to identify new trends in the region and the world shaped by the 4th industrial revolution, which are helpful for the country’s policy-making process.
In addition, this is the second time Prime Minister Phuc arrived in Cambodia over the past weeks, reflecting Vietnam’s support for the neighboring country as the host of the forum for the first time. As the host of the WEF on ASEAN 2018, Vietnam expects to maintain and consolidate the international community’s attention, especially business giants to Vietnam.
It will also an opportunity for Vietnamese to grasp new trends and ideas in support of their development strategies, thus contributing to encourage startup spirit as well as their active engagement in national construction and development. The WEF on ASEAN 2018 is also part of the country’s multilateral diplomacy agenda designed for the period 2016-2020.
